MEMORIES: Bill Pardoe of The Lye
When my father died in 1991 we discovered that over the last few years
he had been writing his memoirs, which were contained in a series of spiral-bound
notebooks, the writing becoming progressively worse as his health deteriorated.
Unfortunately he had only reached 1928 when he died, but we printed up what
there was and distributed it at the memorial service held at Christ Church,
The Lye, on 27th September 1991.
